The heart of Chemfinet is the Exchange. Buyers and Sellers must register to utilize the Exchange, but there is no cost to do so. Upon registering, the Buyer can post an RFQ (Request For Quote) on the site. The easy-to-use form helps you to specify your requirements for your molecule: quantity, purity, time needed, and any other requirements. You can provide the chemical structure or we can draw it for you. Your identity is NOT disclosed to protect your confidentiality.

The registered seller can review the lists of RFQs (by chemical name or structure) and then submit bids to the Exchange. Each bid is reviewed by Chemfinet's Ph.D. staff, who will either approve, reject, or request more information before posting.

When a new bid is approved, the Buyer receives an automatic email with the details of the bid. If they have questions, they can post them to the bidder (still protecting their confidentiality) or they can ask for the assistance of the Chemfinet staff in selecting the desired seller (i.e. reputation, track record, seller’s expertise in the area). We will help you get as much information as you feel you need to make an informed decision.

Remember that the Buyer has no obligations UNTIL they decide to accept a bid and issue a Purchase Order for the materials.

We will directly contact reliable manufacturers whom we expect can produce the molecules you are seeking to source. We maintain the strict confidentiality we have on the site, and only disclose the structures to a small selected group of suppliers. This helps keep the structures on a "need to know" basis.
